Sidharabetta

A rocky hill with temple and caves at the top are the attractions here. Though the major crowd which visits is the one of pilgrims. This place also interests trekkers and other nature lovers. Cave exploration is a enjoyable experience.

As this place is being visited by thousands of visitors every year, because of the prevailing ignorance the place is full of garbage with plastic thrown everywhere. This needs to be stopped. Not just in Siddara Betta, in every place elsewhere.

Being close to the Devarayana Durga and the forest surrounding it this place is a good place for a enthusiast bird watcher as well. This stretch of land covering Channarayana Durga, Devarayana Durga etc is the habitat of the Yellow Throated Bulbul.

How to get there:  Plenty of buses operate from Tumkur to Koratagere and Madhugiri, but to Siddara Betta this is quite limited. One has to take a deviation to the left after 2kms from Koratagere on the way to Madhugiri
